Resolution Supporting
Fair Election Practices Passed

The Santa Clara County Board of Education passed a resolution at its Feb. 18 meeting supporting fair election practices, and encouraging local school boards to review their trustee election processes to ensure they support the California Voting Rights Act. In the resolution the board also encourages the County Committee on School District Organization to include the matter in its 2009 work plan, and report findings and recommendations in 2009.
